As the war progresses the vaegir kingdom looked for new allies and with their new foothold in the kingdom of the nords it seems they found those allies in the shape of the numerous hill tribes and bandit groups that have grown rapidly in numbers as the old ways of the norse recede and more and more land is lost.
These fearsome though poorly armed and poorly trained groups of men now roam the countryside and have been known to lay ambushs for unwary travelers.
