Vask de Marais and the terrible Black Band!
The Robber Baron Vask de Marais and his Black Band have seized the castle of Knudarr after a gruelling night raid that overwhelmed its defenders. Those that managed to escape have fled into the surrounding countryside, and those that were not so lucky have found their heads atop spikes.
The Beast of Ismirala!
Vaegir hunters have spread the word of a terrible creature loping through the woods at night, speaking at great lengths of its horrid howls, and there have been reports of missing persons. No definitive sign of the beast has been found, though entrails can be seen hanging from the trees at unnatural heights.
Far and away..
Mark's Tail alights the realm with curiousity!
A great green comet streaks across the sky and it can be seen in all corners of Calradia, and its ethereal glow has set the land aflame with superstitious theories, scientific explanations, and theological debate. The Swadians have named it 'Mark's Tail', after the crown-prince. Whereas the nords claim it is an omen, a sign from the All-Father of imminent change.
Rhodok-Sarranid border conflict!
Tensions on the Rhodok-Sarranid border have erupted in violence, though no formal declaration of war has been issued by either kingdom, the dukes and Rhodok King have called an emergency council in the capital. Rumours swirl about the cause, some say Sarranids lay waste to a small village, taking women and butchering men, others, claim the Rhodoks are moving to seize the lucrative inland trade routes.
